Woman gobsmacked after leaving laundry out to dry in freezing temperatures

Not only does December bring festive cheer in the run-up to Christmas Day, but it also brings freezing temperatures. With the UK blanketed with snow and ice the last few weeks, some have struggled with issues further than de-frosting their cars.

Despite the cold, a woman continued to hang her laundry out on the washing line to dry it and avoid damp inside, however when the weather swiftly changed and temperatures fell below zero overnight, she was in for a shock. Her son Todd shared the mistake to TikTok under the ursename @onmytodd and he was in stitches as he documented the hilarious results of the accidental washing fail.

Posting the clip to the popular video-streaming service, the video has raked in over 11.2 million views since posting.

Captioning the post, the TikToker wrote: "No bc why does that vest look like a wet floor sign."

In the viral video, the woman explained: "The time we accidentally froze our laundry."

Much to their shock, the items of clothing had frozen solid and remained in the same position that they were hung in, which produced some hilarious results.

Struggling to contain their laughter, the man's mum posed for a series of amusing snaps as she retrieved the frozen clothes from the clothesline.

Flocking to the comment section, viewers were in hysterics over the popular video - and rushed to share their hilarious reactions.

"I've never seen frozen laundry before bro," one person commented beside three laughing emojis.

"Why did I need frozen laundry to make my day," a second questioned. "Dunno but my mood just improved 100%."

Another joked: "The pile of clothes looking like a pile of wood."

A different user teased: "There's nothing like the fresh smell of frozen laundry."

A sixth penned: "The optimism you had hanging that out in December is what I need in my life."

Another user claimed: "Wait one more day, they will be dried and will smell and feel so fresh. I always put my laundry out in wintertime. The best way."
