Homicide squad detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead in Melbourne's southeast.

Emergency services were called to a property on Glendale Rd in Springvale just after 12pm on Thursday.

Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the death and a crime scene has been established.

The woman is yet to be formally identified.
