Charity shops can quite often be filled with absolute gems for pennies. What's one man's - or woman's - trash is another's treasure, after all.
And that turned out to be quite literal for bargain-hunger Ellie when she had a 'crazy feeling' before stepping into her local charity shop and buying an engagement ring for £1 - less than the price of a McDonald's Mayo Chicken.
Ellie Page - who works in marketing - shared a video on her TikTok account after finding herself in the right place at the right time to become the owner of the 'pretty' ring, the Mirror reports.

Ellie, who has more than 30,000 followers on TikTok, shared how she stumbled across an 'amazing' deal during the Bank Holiday weekend. In a video, the TikToker said: "POV - you have a crazy feeling that you need to go into your favourite charity shop on the way as you think you're going to find something amazing.
"When you go in there's a woman in there, she's saying 'this is my engagement ring, I don't want it, and I don't want any of the money that comes from selling it, I don't want anything to do with this man, I don't want anything from him'.
"The store assistant is like, 'Oh my god, are you sure?' The woman goes, 'I want you to put it in the charity shop and list it for £1 - I want you to sell this for £1 and whoever buys it, it's their lucky day'.
"You want it to be your lucky day so you go up to the woman and say, 'I'll buy - list it for a pound and I'll buy it right now'.
"You buy it for £1 and now you own this woman's engagement ring. You can't get it valued because it's Bank Holiday, so you have no idea how much this ring is that you own right now.
"It's a big fat mystery whether you're right or not - but for the meantime, you have a really pretty ring! What a day!"
Ellie revealed in the comments responding to Team GB Olympian Jazmin Sawyers that the charity shop she had visited was in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
Since sharing her video, Ellie's clip has raked in more than 700 comments where people admitted they were 'incredibly jealous' about her bargain find. One person said: "Omg the ring is gorgeous."
A second wrote: "That's actually so cool definitely the universe giving you blessings - hope ya get a fortune for it." A third added: "I am INVESTED in this and also incredibly jealous."
Ellie has revealed that she's unaware of the jewellery's true worth, but in an update, told followers that she has had it sent off for valuation.
