An 85-YEAR-OLD woman has died after being struck by a car outside a hospital in Edinburgh.
The woman was one of two pedestrians in critical condition after being struck by a car at about 3.40pm on Monday July 20 outside the Royal Infirmary on Little France Crescent.
The 85-year-old woman died in hospital during on Thursday morning.
An 88-year-old man remains in hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Police Scotland said the incident involved a red Peugeot 208, and officers are appealing to the public for more information.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has yet to speak to officers to please come forward,” Sergeant Paul Ewing said on Tuesday.
“I’d also ask those with dashcam footage who may have been parked or driving into the area at the time to please review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
No other injuries were reported.
