A woman has shared how she pulled off an impressive kitchen transformation for just £50.
Rachael, 36, runs the Instagram account @rachs_home_n_life, where she documents her DIY journey. She used her design skills to stick to a strict budget when renovating her kitchen.
As reported by My Local Toolbox, Rachael said: "One of my favourite transformations was my kitchen, I only had a small budget so carefully researched what I could do and in total it probably cost around £50.

"When I moved in to my fairly new build house it was a blank canvas really, the kitchen was cream and magnolia but with a bright lime green wall which wasn't my taste. At first, I painted the walls white, I didn't like the cupboards having a birch coloured surrounding, so my thought was to upcycle and paint all the cupboards as they were in great condition and I liked them - just not the colour."
Explaining how she pulled off the project, Rachael said: "I love sage green and pink, it now seems like quite a theme in my house. I used Frenchic paint in 'wise old sage' and slowly started to paint the cupboards and loved how they turned out. It's such an easy paint to work with and easy to apply.

"I then added Wallpop's self-adhesive floral wallpaper to my splashback and fridge freezer, so that definitely added more cottage core vibes and makes it pop. To finish the kitchen off I painted pink scallop detail all the way round the edges of the worktops and picked up some pink kitchen accessories from Dunelm.
"My favourite part was the painting, Frenchic paint requires little prep and no primer and dries really fast. It did take me a while to do, but I'm really pleased with how it's turned out."
