Woman cleared of murdering man in Bolton following three-week trial

A woman has been cleared of murder, following a trial.

Joleen Hulme, 36, denied murdering Paul Dixon following an incident in the Johnson Fold area of Bolton almost two years ago.

Following a three-week trial at Manchester Crown Court, the jury found Ms Hulme not guilty and she has now been discharged from court.

In May, Ms Hulme, of Daisy Hill Drive, Adlington pleaded not guilty to one count of murdering Paul Dixon between December 29, 2018 and January 12, 2019.

It followed an incident in Montserrat Road, on December 30 2018, when police were called to a house at 12.50am.

Paul Dickson was injured during a disturbance and the 49-year-old died in hospital 12 days later.
