Woman charged after elderly man seriously injured at his home

A woman has been charged after an elderly man was left in a serious condition following an incident at his home.

The 34-year-old was arrested earlier this week, and will now appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court next week.

The 76-year-old man was seriously injured following the alleged incident at his home in Elliston Avenue on Tuesday, August 6.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can now confirm that a 34-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after a 76-year-old man was seriously injured during an incident in Elliston Avenue, Glasgow around 10.30 am on Tuesday, 6 August 2019."

Emergency services rushed to the scene and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
