A woman's 72-year-old mother has shocked the internet with her young looks after people thought she looked 40.
Dr Mamina Turegano, a dermatologist who shares skincare tips on TikTok, has revealed the unusual secret to her mother's age-defying skin.
She said her Japanese mother looks 40 because she uses a banana trick to fight wrinkles as part of her skincare routine, RSVP reports.

Taking to TikTok, Dr Turegano, who posts under the username @dr.mamina, credited her mum for the different skincare techniques she uses.
She went viral when she posted about her mother’s secret hack that helps her stay looking young and fresh, gaining almost 800k views.
She said: “I get a lot of my quirkiness as well as my love for healthy skin from my Japanese mother.”
The dermatologist highlighted one trick in particular, which includes rubbing a banana peel all over your face and body.
Her mum called it one of her “beauty tips” as she could be seen smoothing the inside of the banana peel over her skin, leaving fruit residue behind.
Dr Mamina revealed that this natural beauty trick actually holds a lot of beneficial vitamins.
She explained: “Bananas actually have a lot of properties which are beneficial for the skin which is why they are so popular in at-home DIY facial masks.
“Bananas are jam-packed with nutrients including potassium, vitamin A, C, E, B vitamins, zinc and amino acids.
“Skin benefits include great hydration, exfoliation, fighting wrinkles and evening out skin tone.”
The TikToker had her followers rushing to the store to get bananas as they couldn’t believe her mum was in her 70s.
One commenter said: “72!?!?! I THOUGHT SHE WAS IN HER 50s AND EVEN YOUGER!!!”
A second person wrote: “Did you say 72?!???! Omfg she looks incredible pls adopt me”.
A third viewer shared: “If you see me rubbing a banana on my face, mine ur business”.
Others explained that they had been doing this before her video and reported that it has been amazing for their skin.
One commenter added: “My grandma does this, she’ll have banana string on her face just walking around the house lol”.
