A woman was found stabbed to death last week in Armour Square.
Officers responded to a well-being check about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at an apartment in the 300 block of West 29th Street and found the 39-year-old unresponsive in the bathroom, Chicago police said.
The woman was found with apparent blunt force trauma to her head and face, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy found she died of multiple sharp force injuries in an assault and ruled her death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Her identity has not been released.
Area One detectives are investigating.
