Woman, 24, died at QMC after being found unconscious at care home

A young woman died at the Queens Medical Centre after being found unconscious at a care home for young adults with mental health conditions, an inquest heard.

Alison Binyon, 24, was found at Boden House care home in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, on September 11.

She died two days later.

Dr Robert Hunter opened the hearing at Derby and Derbyshire Coroners Court on Wednesday, reports DerbyshireLive.

Dr Hunter said: "She had died in Queen's Medical Centre where she had been admitted after being found at her home address with a ligature around her neck.

"Her body was then transferred to the Royal Derby Hospital for post mortem examination. She was identified by her father at Queen's Medical Centre."

Ms Binyon was from Leicester but lived at Boden House, the inquest heard.

"I will adjourn the inquest pending receipt of the toxicology report and other statements and documents."

The NHS website described Boden House as providing care for young people with mental health conditions.
