With ‘Destiny 2’ Void 3.0 Coming, Here Are The Weapons And Armor To Stockpile
Destiny 2 is about to drop a massive void subclass rework with the Witch Queen, changing it to an aspect and fragment system like Stasis, and introducing or expanding a number of void effects that will work with the new system.
Given the evolution of stasis over the past year, it’s clear that you can make some significant builds with stasis-focused armor and weapons. Void, which has been around even longer, has even more to choose from. So here are the weapons and armor pieces I would stockpile, or simply remember they exist when you start buildcrafting, with Void 3.0 on the way. We don’t know which of these may be buffed or elevated to god-tier with new synergies. And for legendary weapons, I just have some favorite, non-sunset void picks that may be useful for void-damage triggered builds.
So, let’s begin.
Nezarec’s Sin (Warlock Helmet) - Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.
Verity’s Brow (Warlock Helmet, works for all subclasses but that means it will have void synergy) - Weapon final blows with a damage type matching your subclass energy grant Death Throes, which provides a grenade damage bonus and grants you grenade energy. When you have Death Throes and throw a grenade, nearby allies gain greatly increased grenade regeneration for a short time.
Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock Helmet, needs buff) - Provides additional damage resistance during Nova Bomb. Nova Bomb kills grant Super energy.
Graviton Forfeit (Hunter Helmet) - Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased.
Assassin’s Cowl (Hunter Helmet, not void specific but invisibility should trigger void synergies in 3.0) - Powered melee final blows grant invisibility and restore a portion of health and shields. Finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase the duration of the invisibility and the amount of health and shields restored.
Precious Scars (Titan Helmet, not void specific but will use type matching) - Final blows from weapons with a damage type matching your subclass energy create a burst of healing around you. After reviving or being revived, you gain an aura that provides overshields to you and nearby allies.
Helm of Saint-14 (Titan Helmet, needs buff) - Enemies that enter Ward of Dawn are blinded, while allies that pass through gain an overshield. Guarding with Sentinel Shield blinds nearby enemies.
Nothing Manacles (Warlock Gloves, needs fixing) - You gain an additional Scatter Grenade charge. Enables tracking for Scatter Grenade projectiles.
Contraverse Hold (Warlock Gloves) - Resist incoming damage while charging your Void grenade with Chaos Accelerant, Feed the Void, or Handheld Supernova. Charged Void grenades return an amount of grenade energy on a hit.
Khepri’s Sting (Hunter Gloves) - Punching someone with full melee energy will instantly cast Smoke Bomb. Gain Truesight while in your own Smoke Bomb effect. Your smoke bombs deal increased damage.
No Backup Plans (Titan Gloves) - When you have full melee energy, Shotgun final blows activate your Defensive Strike and consume your melee energy. Shotgun final blows also give you melee energy.
Doom Fang Pauldrons (Titan Gloves) - Void melee kills give Super energy. While Sentinel Shield is active, melee kills recharge Shield Throw, which extends your Super on hits.
Ursa Furiosa (Titan Gloves) - Move faster while guarding when Sentinel Shield is active. Guarded damage converts to Super energy when the Super ends.
Gwisin Vest (Hunter Chest) - Roving Assassin. Each Spectral Blades kill you make before going into stealth will restore more of your Super energy.
Omnioculus (Hunter Chest, already incredible, could become even better) - You gain a second Smoke Bomb charge and have damage resistance while invisible. When you make an ally invisible, they gain damage resistance while invisible and you gain melee energy.
Heart of Inmost Light (Titan Chest, not void specific but great with middle tree void) - Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points.
The Bombardiers (Hunter Boots, void subclass suppresses targets) - Dodging leaves behind an explosive that detonates after a short delay, damaging targets around it and creating a secondary effect based on your subclass energy.
Orpheus Rig (Hunter Boots) - Provides ability energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has more shots.
Le Monarque (Void Bow) - Arrows fired quickly after a full draw become poison arrows. Precision hits with poison arrows spread poison to nearby enemies.
Lorenz Driver (Void Linear Fusion) - This weapon marks targets with an automated targeting system. Final blows on marked targets generate a telemetry pattern. Collecting 3 telemetry patterns without dying grants this weapon bonus damage for a long time. A precision final blow with this weapon creates an implosion that pulls in nearby targets and damages them with an additional detonation.
Telesto (Problematic Void Fusion Rifle) - Fusion projectiles attach and detonate with a delayed Void blast. Multikills with this weapon immediately reload your equipped Kinetic and Energy weapons from reserves.
Wavesplitter (Void Trace Rifle) - Laser damage has three power levels that oscillate while the trigger is held down. Collecting an Orb of Power grants a short period of maximum power that starts with an automatic reload.
Fighting Lion (Void Breach Grenade Launcher) - Direct hits do more damage to enemy combatant shields. Dealing damage increases reload speed. Rapid kills against grenade-damaged enemies refill the magazine.
Ruinous Effigy (Weirdly Nerfed Void Trace Rifle) - Final blows with this weapon collapse victims into Void Transmutation spheres. Transmutation spheres you create can be picked up and wielded as weapons by you or your allies. [Block] : Guard/Drain nearby combatants.
Graviton Lance (Void Pulse Rifle) - Second shot of a burst rips a hole through space-time, doing high damage and recoil with no falloff. Kills with this weapon cause enemy targets to detonate and spawn Void projectiles that track targets.
Deathbringer (Void Rocket Launcher) - Fires remotely detonated projectiles that drop Void orbs on combatants. The further a Void orb falls, the more powerful its detonation becomes.
Two-Tailed Fox (Void/Solar Rocket Launcher - Shoots two rockets, one Void and one Solar, that can track onto the same target. The Void rocket suppresses enemies. The Solar rocket causes damage over time.
Truth (Void Rocket Launcher) - This weapon's rockets have tracking. Lock onto targets when aiming down sights. Projectiles will detonate when they are within close proximity of their targets.
Leviathan’s Breath (Void Heavy Bow) - Fires a massive heavy bolt that stuns unshielded combatants. Strong against [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions. When fully drawn, the bolt creates a large concussive blast that knocks combatants back.
Black Talon (Void Sword) - [Heavy Attack] : Fire a heavy projectile attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy.
The Colony (Void Grenade Launcher) - This weapon's grenades are insectoid robots that chase targets and explode close to them. Insectoid robot grenades quickly repopulate the magazine from reserves while the Colony is unequipped.
Tractor Cannon (Void Heavy Shotgun) - This weapon emits a powerful impulse that pushes enemies away, suppresses their abilities, and makes them more vulnerable to all incoming damage.
