Wishaw Juniors boss Mark Daly admits his side are now in deep relegation trouble

Raging boss Mark Daly conceded Wishaw Juniors are deep in a relegation dogfight after defeat to Carluke.

The derby day slip leaves the Beltane men three points adrift in the relegation spots.

“We were terrible in the first half,” Daly said.

“We got a bit better in the second half but we got a goal down after three minutes.

“It’s totally unacceptable and I have told the players that. We really are in a relegation battle now.

“Yes, we have the three games in hand, but we’ve only won three games all season.

“We have conceded eight goals in the last two games and we can’t pretend that we are happy with that form.

“I can only hope it’s a wake up call for the boys in that dressing room.

“I’ll do the best job I can. It ruins my weekend when we get beat, and it should be the same for them.”

With Larkhall taking the trip to Wishaw this weekend Daly said every win was a scalp to them now.

He added: “We aren’t guaranteed any points from any game.

"We are out of my honeymoon phase as boss now and I’ll make the changes if necessary.”
