It's good news for fans of a very popular US fast food giant, as it's finally been announced there will be five more branches coming to the UK.
Wingstop, a US-born fast food chain specialising in mouthwatering chicken wings and tenders which are sauced-and-tossed in fans' choice of 10 distinctive flavours, has taken the UK by storm since the first branch opened up in 2018.
Since then, it has surged in popularity and was even announced as Deliveroo's Restaurant of the Year in 2021, despite only having 33 sites across the UK.
However, that's about to change when Wingstop opens five more restaurants, The Mirror can exclusively reveal.
The new branches coming are: Islington (London) in July, Birmingham New Street in September, Wood Green in November, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Both Scottish locations will be opening up in December 2023.
The chain is so popular in the states that even rapper icon Rick Ross owns several Wingstop franchises.
This will be welcome news for chicken wing fans who have been asking the fast food chain to bring more physical locations to the UK.
Just recently, one fan took to Twitter to say: "We need more Wingstop branches in the UK, please."
Another told a friend: "Wingstop is so legendary mate, I wish there were more in the UK, nearest one to me is an hour away where my sister goes to uni so I go whenever I visit her."
A third commented, albeit very exaggerated: "Why is there only one Wingstop in the whole of the UK?"
Wingstop has already successfully opened new UK restaurants this year in Beckton (London), Cardiff and Chelmsford, as well as delivery-only locations in Glasgow and Enfield.
The latest announced locations will all be physical, so fans can go there and enjoy their tasty food.
In London, the newest Wingstop restaurant will replace the former Mother Clucker location in Islington.
Meanwhile, the Birmingham branch will opened up at 63 New Street, The Mall, with other specific locations yet to be confirmed.

"With these new locations announced, we are on track to exceed our growth expectations, with a projected 40+ UK locations by the end of 2023."
