Coastguard called after concerns of windsurfer 'in difficulty' at West Kirby
A windsurfer found themselves in "difficulty" between West Kirby and Thurstaston.
Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team confirmed that they received reports from concerned members of the public on Thursday at around 10.30am.
A spokesman said: "A big thank you to RNLI West Kirby Lifeboat who were also tasked and given the poor visibility thoroughly searched the area around where the reports had been given to make sure nobody else was in difficulty.

"With no further persons in trouble all teams were stood down."
Doctors say girl, 12, hit by a car is 'very, very lucky'

A 12-year-old girl is 'lucky' to not have suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to Liscard Road, in Wallasey, after reports of a crash.
The girl's auntie told the ECHO: "My niece is doing okay thank god. She is very, very lucky the doctors said.
"She was observed for a few hours, but came away with cuts and bruises and a few lumps. But is doing okay."
Factory workers set to strike after union leader 'sacked'

Workers at a factory in Liverpool say they will strike after a union representative was dismissed.
Employees of the Liverpool branch of an international company called The Envases Group have announced twelves days of strike.
A spokesperson for Unite said: "The strike action will cause considerable disruption throughout the company’s production processes and will result in delays to customers receiving their products."
