Wimbledon: Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in third round

LONDON: Rohan Bopanna at 43 is the oldest player in the 2023 Wimbledon draws and daddy cool is giving age a whole new vibe.

The Indian, playing alongside Aussie Matthew Ebden, the sixth seeds in the men's doubles, moved into the third round with a swift win, locking it up in 68 minutes. They appeared to spend more time signing autographs and taking selfies with fans on Court No. 3.

Bopanna and Ebden overcame an early setback to score a 7-5, 6-3 win over British wildcards Jacob Fearnley and Monday Johannus. Bopanna and Ebden will play alternates David Pel of Netherlands and American Reese Stalder in the third round.

In a boy's singles first-round match, India's Yuvan Nandal went down 2-6, 4-6 to Czech Jan Hrazdil.
