Wimbledon 2015: colour-blocking in the royal box

Colour blocking came to the royal box at Wimbledon on Wednesday. As if choreographed by Anna Wintour herself ( not beyond the realms, given her love of tennis), four prominent VIPs went bold. On the left Billie Jean King, multiple grand slam champ, showed some skills with a jade jacket, pearls and traffic-cop sunglasses. Meanwhile, the Cambridges did tomato and rust respectively and doubles specialist Ilana Kloss went for pale fudge. Bear Grylls added some cerulean blue to the centre court spectator palette. Coincidence? Stylewatch thinks not. What with Roger Federer’s comments that the tournament’s all-white dress code is too strict hanging over the dressing room, could this be a silent show of wardrobe solidarity from the All England faithful? Maybe.
