William Saliba contract worry, Granit Xhaka turnaround and Ethan Nwaneri concern

It may be the international break but that doesn't mean it's quiet around Arsenal right now.

The Gunners head into the international break top of the Premier League after an impressive start to the season that has seen them win seven of their eight games so far. The latest victory was a 3-0 success over Brentford that raised plenty of talking points.

In that game William Saliba popped up with his second goal of the season to continue his fine run of form. The Frenchman has quickly become a fan favourite since returning to north London, but is yet to commit his long-term future to Arsenal, with his current contract set to expire in just over 18 months time.

Granit Xhaka was also superb in the game and enjoyed a lovely moment at the end of the game in which he was serenaded by the Arsenal fans to signal his healing relationship with them. The Swiss international also had a part to play in the game's other major talking point after admitting he has been doing his coaching badges and taking charge of sessions involving wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri, who became the youngest player in Premier League history after coming on late in the game at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Our Arsenal correspondents Kaya Kaynak and Bailey Keogh discuss why there are some doubts over the Saliba's contract in the latest episode of football.london 's new The Arsenal Way Podcast. The brand new pod is a weekly show featuring in-depth discussions on all things Gunners.

The pair also discussed Arsenal's start to the season and how far this current group can go before taking a look at Fabio Vieira has started life in North London and the bizarre negative reception that Nwaneri's debut seems to have gotten.
