Chelsea ended the season in perfect fashion on Wednesday as they beat Real Betis 4-1 in Wroclaw to lift the Conference League trophy.
It had already been a successful campaign for Enzo Maresca’s side, who secured Champions League qualification on the final day of the Premier League season, and they have some silverware to go with it.
With Champions League and Europa League successes already to their name, Chelsea are the first club to complete the set of European trophies.
That was in doubt in Wroclaw after a poor first-half, with Chelsea trailing at the break to Abde Ezzalzouli’s opener inside ten minutes.
But the Blues responded after the break and scored twice in the space of five minutes through Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson, both brilliantly assisted by Cole Palmer.
Jadon Sancho sealed victory with a superb curling finish, ending Betis’ hopes and ensuring the blue end of the stadium could start the party, though there was still more to celebrate as Moises Caicedo added a fourth in stoppage time.
Are Chelsea having a trophy parade?
There have been plenty of open-top bus parades for Premier League clubs in recent days.
Tottenham celebrated with their fans in north London after winning the Europa League, Liverpool marked their Premier League title in front of massive crowds, and Crystal Palace continued their FA Cup party on Monday with a bus parade and then another event at Selhurst Park.
However, there are no plans for Chelsea to mark their Conference League victory with a trophy parade.
Many in the squad will instead turn their attention to international duty, with five Chelsea players called up for upcoming England matches against Andorra and Senegal.
It will then be all eyes on the Club World Cup, which begins for the Blues on June 16.
