Wild Card weekend NFL Power Rankings: Sleep on the Eagles and Dolphins, not the Browns or Rams

In this edition Wild Card weekend edition of NFL Power Rankings, the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins are put under the microscope for opposing reasons.

The Browns and Rams enter the playoffs as two of the hottest teams in the NFL. Quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Joe Flacco are turning back the clock and playing some of the best football of their careers down the stretch.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Eagles cannot seem to get things figured out on either side of the football as quarterback Jalen Hurts cannot stop turning the ball over, and their defense has been an open gate over the last nine weeks. The Dolphins join them in their slump as well, losing to both the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills in back-to-back weeks to slip out of the second seed and down to the sixth seed in the AFC.

Can the Browns, Rams, and others make some noise from their Wild Card slots? As we get set for a fun Wild Card weekend, here is another edition of NFL Power Rankings.

One and done.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Their play over the last two weeks up to the playoffs does not instill a ton of confidence.

12
Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are a bad football team on both sides of the ball right now. And they better watch out or the Buccaneers can catch them slipping.

11
Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love has arrived, Aaron Jones is healthy, and the Packers could be a sneaky team to make some noise.

10
Houston Texans

The Browns must expect a different outcome than the last time they played the Texans as C.J. Stroud is a game-changer and an offense elevator.

9
Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins beat one team over .500 all season. They have yet to prove they are legitimate contenders.

8
Los Angeles Rams

No quarterback is playing better football than Matthew Stafford right now and the Rams are not to be slept on.

7
Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs did not figure it out down the stretch, but the threat of Patrick Mahomes getting hot always looms large.

6
Detroit Lions

The Lions will need Jared Goff to do something he hasn’t done yet this season: elevate the offense when they need him to.

5
Dallas Cowboys

The passing attack of the Cowboys is as lethal as any team in the NFL. Will the Packers have an answer?

4
Cleveland Browns

The NFL Coach of the Year, an elite defense, and the emergence of Joe Flacco. The Browns can beat anybody on any given week.

3
Buffalo Bills

Joe Brady has this offense rolling. It’s up to Josh Allen to play a bit more within himself and limit the stupid turnovers.

2
San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have been figured out a bit offensively as they struggle to play from behind. Can Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purdy keep this team on schedule for three whole games?

1
Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have been a buzzsaw to the most competitive teams in the NFL, wiping out the Lions, 49ers, and Dolphins this year. The Browns have been a team that has tripped them up, however. Could they be set for a second round matchup?
