Wigan Warriors youngster set to leave the club

Amir Bourouh will leave Wigan Warriors at the end of the season.

The young hooker, 20, has produced a number of impressive cameos for the Warriors, catching the eye during Wigan's recent win over Huddersfield.

Bourouh has recently been recalled from Championship side Halifax, where he has impressed during a loan spell with his hometown club.

He was selected again for the club's recent defeat to Warrington, where he came off the bench for the final five minutes of the game.

However, his time at the club will come to a conclusion at the end of the year, leaving him on the lookout for a new club.

Bourouh has caught the eye for his speed around the ruck, which has seen him score a number of tries for Fax this season.

Head coach Adrian Lam recently revealed that Bourouh will be remaining at Wigan for the next period of fixtures, meaning he could yet feature again in the coming weeks.

However, his availability has been made aware to other clubs, with at least two Super League clubs understood to be considering a move for Bourouh at present.

Wigan, who have Sam Powell and Brad O'Neill on their books, have also used Tommy Leuluai and Harry Smith in the number nine role, which has limited Bourouh's game time. He has made five Super League appearances in total.
