Atlanta-based journalist Cody Alcorn—an award-winning reporter with decades of experience—recently shared an update in the disappearance-and-reappearance involving Atlanta dentist Dr. Melanie Nadler Litt.
Alcorn wrote on social media, “UPDATE on Melanie Nadler Litt, a metro Atlanta dentist who was considered missing. She was found over weekend w/ a married man,” now identified as Anthony Nestor, of Kennesaw, Georgia.
52 YO, #MelanieLitt, reportedly “went missing” on October 13th, 2025, after leaving her dental job at the end of her shift. She never arrived to work the next day & her coworkers, along with her family, became extremely worried, prompting a missing persons case to be opened up!… pic.twitter.com/nEvJrmkLA3

Alcorn said he spoke to Nestor’s wife, who also reported her husband missing just a few days before Litt vanished. “He told his wife he was going to hang with the ‘guys,’” Alcorn wrote, and she hadn’t heard from him or seen him since that Saturday, October 11, 2025.
“Dr. Nadler was reported missing on October 14, after she failed to show up at her dentist’s office in Dallas, Georgia,” Alcorn said.
He added, “Anthony’s wife said shortly after her husband disappeared, and wasn’t returning calls, texts or emails, she went to his computer where she uncovered a bombshell. An affair between the two dating back more than a decade.”

After Litt’s reported disappearance, officers performing a welfare check found her phone at her home, but her vehicle and wallet were missing. Her car was later found abandoned in a parking lot. On Sunday, October 19, Billy Robertson, a former patient, spotted Dr. Litt outside the Town Center Mall in Marietta, Georgia, and called 911. Authorities stated that there is no sign of foul play and they are not releasing further details, citing Litt’s privacy.
While authorities say the case is closed, the parties involved on social media paint a more complicated picture. Dr. Litt’s husband, for example, has posted that she’s “not safe” and alleged she was being manipulated or controlled. Robertson, who spotted Litt and Nestor at the mall, has also subsequently said on social media that she seemed scared, and that Litt and Robertson ran when he approached them.
Though we’re relieved Litt is safe and well, it seems this tangled saga still has a couple of twists left to come. Here’s hoping all involved can work through whatever complicated personal circumstances they have. One thing’s for sure, if there’s going to be a marriage counselor involved they’d better be the best in the business, as this couple have a lot of issues to deal with..
