Chris Gunter believes Daniel James' character will help him cope with the pressure of moving to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old is set to join the Red Devils from Swansea City for £15m plus add-ons when he returns from international duty with Wales.
James will become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing at Old Trafford and is set to be the poster boy for the club's period of transition under the Norwegian boss.
And the youngster's Wales team mate Gunter has been blown away by the versatile winger's progress during the 2018/19 campaign.
“He's a very good player which everyone can see," said Gunter.
"I think one of the biggest strengths he has that he'll need going forward is his character and temperament. Now he’s moving to such a big club, his life changes in terms of being in the spotlight more and the things he has to deal with.
"He’s very grounded and he’ll take everything in his stride. I don't think he'll be changing too much as a person so that'll be a big help for him.
"In terms of on the pitch, when we can get him into positions we want to and doing what he's been doing all season, it’s a massive bonus because sometimes there’s not a lot you can do to defend against that.
"He can mix his game up and if you try and get too close to him he can spin in behind. If you give him space then he can pick the ball up and cause damage in terms of running at you.
"He’s learning how to mix his game up more and different tests that he's facing. His improvement and development has been phenomenal really and I'm sure making the move, he will continue to grow."
