A common belief is that Lord Brahma's main role as the Creator of the universe is completed. Thus, it is believed that, he is not as actively involved in daily life like Lord Shiva and Bhagwan Vishnu. Today, the maintenance and transformation of the universe is carried out Vishnu and Shiva respectively.

Secondly, a story rooted in traditional faith says that Lord Brahma was too lenient even towards demons such as Mahishasur and Ravana. He blessed them, whenever they sought his support. However, using the powers that they received as a result of Brahma’s blessings, these demons started tormenting righteous individuals of the world and even some gods. Therefore, Shiva and Vishnu had to interfere and take control of the situation, killing the demons and their numerous avatars. Since Brahma’s kindness was directed towards everyone without the discretion of good and bad, people stopped worshipping Him. So, we can find only a handful of Lord Brahma Temples all over the world.
