- Ofcom has rejected over 14,000 complaints concerning the latest series of ITV's reality show, Love Island.
- A total of 14,167 complaints were received, with the highest number on July 24 relating to alleged bullying behaviour towards contestant Shakira Khan.
- Further complaints included concerns over contestants' mental health, the behaviour of Dejon Noel-Williams, and alleged race and gender-based discrimination.
- Ofcom stated that negative behaviour in the villa was not shown in a positive light, and contestants were seen supporting each other, adding that viewers would expect highs and lows from the established format.
- The 12th series of Love Island ran from June 9 to August 4 and was won by Toni Laites and Cach Mercer.
