Who will win Love Island, who's faking and who's real, according to show expert

Tonight is the night where after eight drama-packed weeks, one couple will be crowned Love Island's winners.

In past years it's been easy to call. In 2018 it was clear from the outset that Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham would be the winners, while in 2019 Molly May Hague and Tommy Fury were firm favourites before Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea won in a last-minute victory.

But this time, there's no 'perfect' couple. Everyone is exclusive, they've all dropped the L-bomb and everyone has had their challenges, meaning there is everything to play for.

While Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have often seemed like the most secure couple, with both staying loyal at Casa Amor, they've been plagued by rows over his 'protectiveness'.

Indiyah Polack is head-over-heels for Dami Hope, but she's yet to find out about his true Casa antics and subsequent treatment of Summer Botwe - antics his own family reprimanded him for on last night's show.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page have been on again and off again all the way through with Tasha's had famously turning for every new bombshell.

Meanwhile, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu are hampered by major trust issues and he still doesn't know about her nighttime hanky panky with Casa's George Tasker.

But it's not up to the contestants to choose the winner, it's up to the public and how genuine they feel each couple is.

And in terms of true authenticity, body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton tells The Mirror there's one couple whose love appears to be the most real.

"Based on my analysis of the Islanders’ interactions and as it stands at the moment, I would say based on their connection that Dami and Indiyah seem to have found a really deep bond with each other and it’s clear they are in love, something they have already professed to each other," he told The Mirror on behalf of Betfair Bingo.

However, when it comes to who will pocket the £50,000, he believes that will go to the most fiery couple in the villa.

He explained: "I would also say that Andrew and Tasha are a strong couple but for me there is one couple that stands out and I think the winners of Love Island 2022 could well be Ekin-Su and Davide.

"Although the other Islanders have had lots of ups and downs and trials and tribulations I think everyone will agree Ekin-Su and Davide have been the archetypal love story, from their original connection to Ekin-Su moving on to Jay before getting back together again.

"They’ve had plenty of tiffs along the way - it has been a real rollercoaster for both of them but ultimately it has been clear they have genuine feelings for each other deep down as they are continually drawn to one another.

"There have been lots of different variables in the mix, including ego and doubts, that have caused friction between the pair.

"However, following Casa Amor and the subsequent re-coupling they appear to be even stronger than ever so I believe, based on the strength of their connection they have what it takes to win the competition."

The Love Island final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
