Who Will Be the 5 Most Fun WRs in College Football 26?

The WR, or Wide Receiver, is one of the most important positions in football. While the QB undoubtedly remains the head honcho, the WR has the ability to turn the game around single-handedly. They are among the fastest athletes on the field, and their combination of agility, athleticism, and game awareness can easily win you matches.

The biggest example of this claim in recent times has been Jeremiah Smith, leading Ohio State to win the 2025 National Championship. However, there are many more wide receivers in the game who are just as clutch as Jeremiah. Having the ability to run the entire field and score a touchdown, they’re a hell of a lot of fun to play with. So, with the College Football 25 data backing us, let’s take a look at who will be the 5 most fun WRs in College Football 26.

5 Most Fun WRs in College Football 26

Jeremiah Smith – Ohio State

To get this list started, let’s talk about the guy who has the entire college football world in a chokehold. Jeremiah Smith stands at 6’3″ and is quite possibly one of the most electrifying WRs I’ve seen at the college level. While some might say he’s overrated, I think the guy has it all. From technical skill to speed, Jeremiah ticks all the boxes of a future NFL star.

Smith also got included in EA Sports College Football 25 stars of the season team, where his card boasted a 96 OVR with 96 SPD and 99 CTH. This is all the more reason to believe that he will end up with a 90+ card in College Football 26, making him clutch. With all the spotlight surrounding the sophomore, he’s going to be a standout player for the Buckeyes and one of the best wide receivers in the game.

Ryan Williams – Alabama

While Jeremiah Smith steals all the light when it comes to talking about WRs, Ryan Williams isn’t someone you can ignore. In his freshman season with the Crimson Tide, Williams was Alabama’s leading receiver in yards and touchdowns as a freshman, with 865 receiving yards and 8 TDs. The kid also scored an insane 75-yard game-winning touchdown against Georgia. Now that’s something you don’t see every day.

Even though Alabama didn’t make the playoffs, Ryan Williams cemented himself as one of the fastest and most talented wide receivers on the field. So much so that he got the honor to be the cover athlete for College Football 26, along with Jeremiah. Now that the game is about to launch, there is no doubt that players will pick Alabama just to witness Ryan Williams’ greatness.

Jordyn Tyson – Arizona State

Tyson might not get as much attention as both Ryan and Jeremiah, but his stats speak for themselves. Tyson was Arizona State’s leading receiver in 2024, boasting 1,101 receiving yards. He caught 10 touchdowns in 12 games, proving to be a consistent threat on the field.

However, even after a good season, EA only gave him a 77 OVR on launch. They later released a Record Breaker card for him, though, which better highlighted his abilities as a lethal wide receiver. With the release of College Football 26 just a few weeks away, I hope that he gets a stat bump, because he’s one of the most fun WRs to use.

Elijah Sarratt – Indiana

Known for his contested catches and ability to create separation, Elijah is a solid wide receiver. Recording 957 receiving yards and scoring 8 touchdowns, Elijah was Indiana’s breakout star in 2024. This earned him an 82-rated card in College Football 25, with 88 SPD, 90 ACC, and 88 CTH. Alongside his base card, he also received a record breakers card similar to Tyson, which boosted all these stats up even more.

Elijah’s combination of speed, agility, and contested catch ability make him a standout player in every match he plays. This translates directly into his EA Sports gameplay, making him fast, explosive, and clutch. Since he was a lethal player in the last iteration of the game, I’m expecting to see him get a boost in CFB 26 and become a force to be reckoned with.

Eric Singleton Jr. – Auburn

The last WR I think will be really fun to play with is none other than Georgia Tech star Eric Singleton Jr. However, with his new signing, Eric will be wearing a new jersey in CFB 26 after transferring to Auburn. That said, Eric gave his all to GT. He was a standout receiver for the team, with 104 catches for 1,468 yards and 10 touchdowns over two seasons.

Singleton is 5’11″, which makes him quick to create separation. He’s also proven to be really versatile and is effective as both a receiver and a returner. It’ll be interesting to see how he copes with his new team, but he’ll definitely be the same fun athlete to play with in College Football 26
