Supervisors are supposed to be able to step in when something goes wrong. But what if a supervisor doesn’t have the solution?
That’s what happened to one Home Depot supervisor after a can of spray paint exploded on her.
‘Officially resigning after this…’
In a viral video, TikToker Steph (@stephhlynn_) shows the result of the accident—paint splatter on her face that resembles freckles and large splotches of paint on her arms. She shows herself attempting to scrub the paint off her arm with what appears to be a wipe or a damp paper towel. “This [expletive] is not coming off,” she says.
“Who the [expletive] let me be a supervisor, bro, for real?” she concludes.
‘Some girls pay big money for those freckles’
In the comments section, viewers offered their perspective on the situation.
“They look like cute freckles,” one complimented.
A second pointed out that the paint got “Everywhere BUT the apron,” followed by a crying emoji.
“An artist supply store has non toxic paint removers that can help with that,” a third suggested.
How do I get spray paint stains off my skin?
To remove water-based paints from your skin (most spray paints are water-based), Healthline suggests:
- Wetting the area of skin covered with paint
- Lathering generously with bar or dish soap
- Scrubbing the affected area for a few minutes
- Rinsing the area with water and repeating the steps as necessary

It also notes, “You can also try applying rubbing alcohol to dried water-based paint. This helps dissolve the paint.”
The Mary Sue reached out to Steph via TikTok direct message and comment. It reached out to Home Depot via press email.
