The remarks quickly sparked outrage online, with many social media users accusing him of reducing women to transactions and promoting a harmful mindset around dating and consent.

As criticism mounted, the clip spread rapidly across platforms, turning the phrase “Rs 370 ki biryani” into a viral talking point.

Viral backlash forces apology and social media exit

The video attracted strong criticism from both women and men, many of whom condemned the comments and called them disrespectful towards women.

As the backlash intensified, Himanshu reportedly apologised for his remarks and deactivated his social media account.

However, the controversy continued to grow, with many users demanding accountability beyond an apology.

Amid the growing public reaction, Himanshu’s employer, Starvik Design, announced that it had decided to terminate his employment.

Company founder Vivek Vishwakarma addressed the issue in a public statement, distancing the organisation from the remarks made in the viral clip.

“The statements shown in those clips are offensive. They are not something I agree with. They are not something our company stands for and they certainly should not be influencing young minds.”
