Staying up for Austria-Jordan at 5am this morning? Of course you are, it's the World Cup.
Austria are strong favourites for this one, but Jordan arrive into the game with all the excitement of a first appearance at the FIFA World Cup - so don't write them off.
Hopefully it's the football itself that takes centre-stage but the all-important question is - who's been given the job of refereeing the game?
Referee appointment for Austria vs Jordan
This is Austria's seventh appearance at the World Cup, and as previously mentioned, Jordan's very first.
Austria have failed to qualify for each of the last six editions of the tournament, though, so emotions will be high when the two sides take to the field in Santa Clara.
Much like one of the sides he will be officiating, this is Dahane Beida's World Cup debut.
The Mauritanian referee is one of the youngest at the Finals, and is aged just 34.
That said, Beida has taken charge of plenty of big fixtures in CAF competitions, including the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Final between Nigeria and Ivory Coast. In addition to refereeing pivotal matches on his home continent, Beida was among the officials at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Beida was also on duty at the 2024 Olympic Games, officiating three matches in France, before taking charge of three more at the most recent edition of AFCON.
Beida will be supported by assistants Jerson Santos (Angola) and Elvis Noupue (Cameroon).
Oshane Nation (Jamaica) is named fourth official for this one.
VAR will be led by Mahmoud Mohamed Ashour (Egypt).
