Who is Reneé Rapp dating? A peek inside the singer-actor's love life

Who is Reneé Rapp dating? Pictured: Reneé Rapp attends the reception for the Los Angeles premiere of HBO Max's "The Sex Lives Of College Girls" on November 10, 2021 in Los Angeles, California

The Reneé Rapp dating situation might've been a hot topic of conversation in The Sex Lives of College Girls—at least when it came to her fictional romantic pursuits—but what's happening off-camera?

The actor is stepping away from Mindy Kaling's coming-of-age series, kickstarting her music career, and falling in love—something she promised she'd keep to herself, despite the raw and personal lyrics that appear on her album, Snow Angel (out now).

"I swore up and down I would never be in a public relationship and then I just found someone who I really loved and made me feel really safe and comfortable,' she told People. "So then I started posting with this person, and then it became a whole thing. Now I'm like, f**k, I have to deal with the consequences of my own actions of publicly co-signing someone as my partner."

So who is she romantically tied to? Let's take a look.

Who is Reneé Rapp dating now?

It appears as if Reneé Rapp had fallen in love months ago, though we are only recently learning about her relationship with TikToker Alissa Carrington, right as the new chapter in her professional career is taking off.

The two have taken to TikTok to post fun and flirty videos and sweet birthday messages starting in late 2022. This is initially what caused romance rumors to spread, and the fact that Rapp noted in an interview that brown, curly hair—just like Carrington's—is her "kryptonite." Now the 23-year-old performer felt as though she was in a place where she could comfortably let the public in, though she admits in her People interview it can be pretty difficult at times.

"I see so much about my love life online. Some of it is totally funny and doesn't affect me, and others of it really, really f---ing hurts my feelings," she told the outlet. "Trying to figure out how to deal with it."

It does seem as if life imitates art, as Rapp regularly opens up about her sexuality lyrically and artistically in her work. However, she did initially have concerns about her role in The Sex Lives of College Girls and wondered if she could do the role justice.

She told The Cut: "I literally hated myself for months because I'm bisexual. I had a boyfriend at the time, and I was being very homophobic to myself. I was like, 'I don't deserve to be doing this. I'm not gay enough.'"

Now, with tracks like "The Wedding Song," which details her first true love, and "Pretty Girls," which she describes to Apple Music as "the universal gay-girl experience," Rapp is being more forthcoming about her romantic experiences, and fans are here for it. Her ethereal pop sound is similar to Billie Eilish and Lana Del Ray, but plenty of her new songs have an upbeat vibe. Either way, one or all of her new songs are bound to show up on your Spotify Receiptify and such.

Who is Alissa Carrington?

The 27-year-old Instagram and YouTube star from California rose to fame on social media, particularly thanks to the channel they ran alongside their now-ex, Samantha Michele Miani, where they both hosted Q&As, presented challenges, and such. Now Carrington appears to be stepping into the modeling sphere, too.
