Caroline Flack has officially stepped down as host of Love Island and there is a clear favourite to replace her.
The 40-year-old, who has presented the hit show since it debuted on itv2 in 2015, confirmed on Tuesday morning that she'd quit Winter Love Island ahead of its launch in January.
Taking to Instagram, Caroline posted " Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly. In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series six.
"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."
She ended by saying thanks to everyone who'd send her supportive messages and also paid tribute to boyfriend Lewis Burton who has publicly defended her.
Rumours are rife on and the bookies favourite at the moment is Maya Jama, with Ant & Dec, Rylan Clark-Neal and the show's narrator Iain Stirling also well fancied.
Who is Maya Jama?
Born on August 14, 1994, Maya Jama is a TV presenter and radio host.
She can be currently heard on the airwaves presenting on BBC Radio 1 on Fridays and Saturdays 10am - 1pm and co-presented the MTV show True Love or True Lies with Danny Dyer.
She also presented the first series of The Circle on Channel 4 and appeared on Love Island spin-off Aftersun.
In her personal life, Maya was a long-term girlfriend of rapper Stormzy before he cheated on her. This week it has been rumoured that the two are back in contact after he admitted his wrong-doings in a track from his new album.
