Bolton Wanderers are one of a few League One clubs who have been linked with a transfer move for Rotherham United midfielder Kieran Sadlier.
The January transfer window will soon open in just a few days from now and Wanderers are posied to be active in the market.
In the latest piece of transfer gossip ahead of the window opening, Wanderers, Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic are all said to have expressed an interest in 27-year-old left winger Sadlier, who is yet to discuss terms over a contract extension with the Millers and is into the final six months of his current deal.

The report in Football League World also suggests that the former West Ham United academy attacker has received a pre-contract offer from a Scottish club ahead of the 2022/23 season.
If the report is accurate and Wanderers are in the market for a new left winger, then he could provide competition for top scorer Dapo Afolayan, who is first choice on that flank in the final third for Bolton.
Sadlier has also operated centrally and on the right too, so would be a useful addition with his versatility in the final third for Wanderers, should it come to pass.
So who is the winger who Wanderers and other clubs have been linked with ahead of the January transfer window opening?
Sadlier was a youth team player at Cambridge United initially, before moving to West Ham United.
He ended his time at the Hammers in January 2015 as he moved to St Mirren, scoring once in 11 games in the second half of the 2014/15 campaign.
That summer, he then moved to Peterborough United but played just once for Posh and, after a loan spell with Halifax Town, moved to Sligo Rovers, scoring 17 goals in 52 games for the Irish side over the next 18 months after moving to the club in January 2016.
In July 2017, Sadlier moved to Cork City and scored 28 goals in 66 games between then and December 2018, when he returned to England and joined Doncaster Rovers on an 18-month deal.
Sadlier went on to play 59 times and score 15 goals for Rovers, and joined Rotherham in the summer of 2020.
He signed a two-year-deal with Paul Warne's side and played 16 times for the club last season as the Millers suffered relegation from the Championship.
This campaign, he has managed 17 appearances across all competitions and scored five goals,
Sadlier has also represented the Republic of Ireland international at under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels, but has not earned a senior cap yet for his nation, despite receiving call-ups to the squad in 2019.
