Who is Gazelle on The Masked Singer season 10? Theories

In the teaser, Gazelle says that the first clue to their identity comes from identifying the person who wore the Gremlin mask in season 4, and Gremlin would be actor and former professional boxer Mickey Rourke.

Early social media speculation ahead of The Masked Singer season 10's premiere revolves around Gazelle being Marisa Tomei, Kim Basinger, Gwyneth Paltrow or even Scarlet Johansson.

In the season premiere, the panel had some interesting guesses: Camila Mendes, Lucy Hale and Vanessa Hudgens. On NFL Night, they guessed Leighton Meester, Constance Wu and Auli'i Cravalho.

On 2000s Night, the panelists guessed that Gazelle could be Mandy Moore, Hillary Duff or Ashley Tisdale.

Disco Night Theories: Auli'I Cravalho, Vanessa Hudgens, Maggie Q, Constance Wu

Finale Night theories: Camila Mendes, Leighton Meester, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Auli’I Cravalho, Gina Rodriguez, Constance Wu

If Gazelle starred in a movie with Rourke, that could open up a world of possibilities when it comes to who's under the mask given that the prolific actor has been. In The Wrestler, Rourke starred with Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. Sin City paired him with Jessica Alba and Alexis Bledel. He was in 1986's 9 1/2 Weeks with Kim Basinger and he was the villainous Ivan Vanko in Iron Man 2, which featured both Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson.

Needless to say, just about anyone could be under Gazelle's mask!

Who is Gazelle on The Masked Singer season 10? Show clues

Here are Gazelle's clues from the season premiere:

Clue: Movie soundtrack. "Not only do I act in movies, I also sing in them."

Package voiceover: "Like a gazelle, I’ve always leapt head-first into opportunities to be on stage. After seeing a Broadway show at 6 years old, I knew I wanted to perform for a living. When I was just a teenager, I took a huge chance and performed in a national talent competition. But, I crashed and burned. It was superbad. It made me almost swear off singing for good. But music was always my first love. Now, I’m ready to prove to myself that I’m ready to get up there again and prove my all. There’s so much beauty in conquering your fears. And, it really helps if you can face them behind a gorgeous Gazelle mask."

NFL Night Clues:

Clue: Antonio Gates delivered the clue, which was "Villain." "I'm not actually a villain, but I can play the part. Gazelle's got range."

Package voiceover: "Last week was such a redemptive experience. Now, I am ready to tackle the competition. Because I feel right at home on this stage. There were a lot of times I didn’t know if there was a place for me in the entertainment industry. At just 8 years old, I was pressured to change my name to blend in more with the herd. Casting directors couldn’t figure out where I fit because of my unique look. I wondered if I could ever truly be myself and pursue my greatest passions. Fortunately, the world is changing and there are more opportunities every day. I’m proud of my heritage, and proud to be able to continue to blaze the trail for girls who look like me."

2000s Night Clues:

Clue: Kate Flannery from The Office presented the clue, which was a DVD of "Gazelle'z Love Story." "The 2000s are a special time for me because it was when I had my film debut."

Voiceover clue: "I love this costume. I have to tell you, the first time I saw it, I started crying. Deer are really meaningful to me, because they’re a symbol of someone I loved and lost. It happened just a few weeks before my wedding. One of the most important people in the world to my husband and I passed away unexpectedly. We somehow carried on with the wedding, but it was all a blur. Except during our vows. When suddenly rain came pouring down on us. It was magical. We knew then that our loved one was there with us. When I put on the Gazelle mask, I carry his adventurous spirit with me, and I know he’s part of the secret to my success here."

Disco Night Clues:

Clue: "Island Vibes" "Hey Nicole, just like you, I too hold the islands close to my heart."

Voiceover clue: "Making it to the Group A finals feels incredible. And one step closer to the finale. And I’m not going to stop here. I was truly a hammy performative kid. Every night I would wear a different costume, sit at the top of our stairs and put on a show for my family. But I was definitely the black sheep. My parents were athletes, my sister was always focused on academics. Despite being so different from them, they’ve always showed me nothing but support. My parents made a lot of sacrifices for me. They uprooted their entire lives just so I could live my dreams. And I wouldn’t be here without them. So tonight, this performance is a thank you for their unconditional love."

Finale Night Clues:

Clue: "Being the Gazelle has helped me find my voice and my confidence in singing again. Now, I don’t want to ever stop."

Voiceover clue: "I would be surprised if anyone in ‘Masked Singer’ history was more suited to their costume than I am to the Gazelle. I’ve mentioned in the past that deer are meaningful to me because of the loved one that I lost. What I haven’t say is that I actually have a deer tattoo for that person, with flowers growing out of the antlers. So, when I saw the sketch that looked so much like my tattoo, I broke down shaking and sobbing. It just felt like fate. Now, having gotten to be in the Gazelle mask for a while, I can definitely say that she feels like this alter ego of me that I have been craving. When I put her on, all of my insecurities and fears are gone. I was given a second chance to keep this mask on, and I’m not going to waste it. Becoming the Gazelle has really allowed me to tap into my inner goddess. The power that she has given me is a feeling I’ll never forget."

The Masked Singer season 10 airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on Fox and streams the following day on Hulu.
