In case you’re out of the world of fictional romance, everyone and their group chats have been frothing TSITP, which follows Belly (Lola Tung) and her push-and-pull romances with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).
And today, September 17, 2025, officially marks the answer we’ve all been waiting for: Who does Belly pick?

Who does Belly pick at the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Well… following tonight’s big finale, Belly ends up picking… CONRAD!!!!
Obviously, the choice didn’t happen straight away. To give you the TL;DR, after spending a romantic time together in Paris, during Belly’s birthday, Conrad and Belly had a deep conversation about their feelings. However, Belly ends the conversation admitting that she wasn’t so sure about their relationship… until some inner dialogue where she finally decides that she wants him!!!
With Taylor Swift‘s “Out Of The Woods” playing in the background, Belly guns it down to the train station to catch Conrad before he leaves the city of love.
She eventually finds him, the pair have an emotional snog in the train, and the rest is history.
Fans were worried the TV series would take a bit of a departure from the books, but this finale episode was proof we’re not messing with a good thing: Team Bonrad. In the books, Belly also picks Conrad after calling off her wedding to Jeremiah. The books even include Belly and Conrad’s wedding, which Jeremiah attends…. with a date (!!!). Looks like the Fisher brothers made up.
How does The Summer I Turned Pretty cast feel about the TV ending?
Prior to the finale’s premiere, Casalegno told PEDESTRIAN.TV that Conrad, Belly and Jeremiah are still besties, despite the big choice.
“At the bottom of it, we all love each other — like Jeremiah, Conrad, Belly, everyone has such a deep friendship,” he said.
“It might be awkward for a little bit, but I think, ultimately — you know, we’re family.”

Prior to the big reveal, some fans believed that the TV ending would feature an ending where Belly picks herself.
However, one Redditor, u/infinite_sus, believes this theory to be false as the book’s author, Jenny Han, has reiterated that it’s a love story at the end of the day.
The Redditor also predicts that the show will be pulling a 180 with Belly ending up with Jeremiah after calling off their nuptials.
Despite this Reddit theory, in May, Han told Entertainment Weekly that the show has “surprises”.
“There are surprises. And there are things that aren’t exactly like the books,” she said.
In July, the romance author also spilled to the Wild Card with Rachel Martin podcast that Belly doesn’t have to pick… SPICY.
“Well, she doesn’t. I don’t think she has to choose one,” she said.
WELP, she had us there because in the end, Conrad got his Belly!!!!
That being said, we’re officially free from yearning season and… I feel empty.
