Who could West Ham face in Europa League last-16? Knockout stage draw pots and seedings

With West Ham United through to the next stage as group winners, David Moyes can rest safe in the knowledge of safe passage into March’s round of 16.

While the Europa League process is slightly more complicated than that of the Champions League’s, winning the group means they go through to the round of 16 automatically, while those who finished second must first face one of the teams who dropped down from Europe’s leading competition for a right to join them.

UEFA rules stipulate that teams from the same association cannot play each other while the Hammers can only be drawn against one of the sides which comes from the play-offs round as they will be seeded in the draw.

Who could West Ham face in the round of 16?

Potential opponents: Rangers, Real Sociedad, Napoli, Olympiacos, Lazio, Braga, Real Betis, Dinamo Zagreb, RB Leipzig, Porto, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, Barcelona, Atalanta, Sevilla, Zenit St. Petersburg

When is the last-16 draw?

The draw for the last-16 will take place on Friday, February 25, 2021, starting at 11am GMT. For more information, check out our draw guide here.
