Who could be the first Browns player to wear the number 0?

The NFL owners voted to allow players to be able to wear the number 0 on the playing field, beginning this season. So now the question has to be asked: which player for the Cleveland Browns will look the best wearing the new digit? New additions to the roster, like wide receiver Elijah Moore, have the obvious advantage, as they do not have to buy out their remaining jerseys the way that current players do.

However, there are current players on the roster for the Browns that would look phenomenal wearing the number 0 in the brown and orange. Here are four players that would look phenomenal sporting the newly allowed number for the Browns.

Moore wearing 0 is an automatic jersey purchase. Already wearing a single-digit, and although his 8 is not currently occupied in Cleveland, Moore becoming Agent Zero would be a nice fresh start for a young and talented player looking for a new beginning.

DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo

New defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has already settled on number 7, rebranding himself as OO7, but the potential to become OO0 is just as cool. Already on the trajectory to be a fan favorite, Okoronkwo could sell plenty of jerseys in the block 0.

TE David Njoku

This is where it gets dicey as players who have existing jerseys on the shelf have to buy them out to change their numbers. However, tight end David Njoku would be the perfect fit from a fan perspective to a personal aura to sport the number 0 for the Browns.

CB Greg Newsome II

Cornerback Greg Newsome II wore a single-digit in college, a number that is currently occupied by wide receiver Amari Cooper. If Newsome wants to dip his toes back into the single-digit life, this may just be his opportunity.
