- HAYI had previously announced "military operations" against US and Israeli interests on Telegram on 9 March, and its channel, since deleted, also posted videos of other alleged arson attacks across Europe.
- Security experts are cautious about HAYI's true nature, noting its branding resembles Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and suggesting it could be a front for Iranian-backed operations using local proxies.
- The Metropolitan Police are currently authenticating HAYI's claim of responsibility, and the incident has not yet been officially designated as a terrorist act.
