Who are the 10 richest people in London? Landlords, gamers, and steel tycoons make the list

The Sunday Times has launched its rich list for 2025, highlighting the richest people in Britain.

While many of the wealthy individuals on the list live in London, there are some exceptions.

Gopi Hinduja and his family are number one for both Britain and London, with a collective value of £35 billion. That’s despite losing £5.2 million a day over the past 12 months due to a $14 billion family legal feud..

The legal battles, taking place in Switzerland, centre around the family being found guilty of exploiting their employees, primarily those taking care of the elderly family patriarch.

The expensive legal bills have sapped the family fortune – while still leaving a lot left over – and resulted in prison sentences for several members.

Indeed, a few of the big names on the list have lost money over the year, with the highest loss being nearly £6.5 billion for chemical magnate Sir Jim Ratcliffe after his investment in Manchester United.

Here’s a closer look at London’s top 10 richest people and their respective fortunes.
