White Sox Slugger Luis Robert Jr. Made Cubs Fans So Mad With His Move After Monstrous HR

There’s nothing like a little crosstown rivalry to get the juices flowing.

The White Sox are well on their way to missing the playoffs, but don’t mind playing spoiler to the Cubs, who are fighting for a wild card spot halfway through August.

All-Star centerfielder Luis Robert Jr. returned to the lineup and blasted his team-high 32nd home run in the top of the seventh inning to give the White Sox a 4–3 lead in a game they eventually won 5–3 on Tuesday night.

Robert, who is no stranger to a big moment, made sure that the Wrigley faithful knew how big his home run was, as he stared down the crowd after the ball left his bat and shushed the crowd after crossing home plate.

Robert had not played for about a week after spraining his right pinky finger in a series against the Yankees.

With his long home run on Tuesday night, it’s clear that Robert at less than 100% is better than no Robert at all in the lineup for the White Sox.
