BRIEF: Sunday's recap: Indians 6, White Sox 3

Sept. 21--Lonnie Chisenhall hit a home run, a double and drove in three runs to help the Indians top the White Sox 6-3 on Sunday at Progressive Field. Chisenhall's two-run homer off Sox left-hander John Danks fueled a three-run second inning, resulting in Danks' first loss of September.

Turning point

Danks held the Indians' lead to 3-0 before Sox reliever Zach Putnam gave up three runs, two on RBI doubles by Chisenhall and Michael Brantley, in the sixth.

At the plate

Jose Abreu's two-run single in the seventh gave him 95 RBIs this season.

On the mound

Danks gave up three earned runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts over five innings.

Key number

6.43 -- Danks' ERA in four starts against the Indians this year.

The quote

"We were hoping to go in, and it was up and didn't get it in there. It looked like he was ready for it. It didn't fool him too much." -- Danks on Chisenhall

The quote II

"There's deception to him, before he was more velocity. It just seems there's a little more movement on the ball, and he's controlling the outside part of the plate as well." -- manager Robin Ventura on Indians starter Josh Tomlin
