Tesla CEO Elon Musk wants everyone to know that his name allegedly appearing in the Jeffrey Epstein Files has nothing to do with his involvement in the disgraced financier’s and sex offender’s crimes. For the uninformed, on September 26, 2025, a Forbes article revealed that Democrat lawmakers through the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee reported that Musk’s name was contained in the Epstein documents.
The circulation was accompanied by evidence that suggested that the business tycoon was to make a tentative trip to Epstein’s infamous private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands on December 6, 2014. The part of the document/schedule that contains Musk’s name also has a follow-up question in brackets, reading “is this still happening.”
Since the article became public, the X page of Doge Designer has expressed its support for Elon Musk by blaming the media for making up new lies “every few months” to “attack Elon Musk.” Referring to Musk being named in the files and being linked to the Epstein Island the page noted:
“Democratic Party & their media allies see Elon as a threat because he exposes corruption, challenges their narrative, & gives people free speech through ?”
Elon Musk replied to the post, mentioning that the revelations were false.
In a separate post, while citing a similar article from Sky News, Musk called out the publication for its “misleading headline.” He also accused them of trying to paint a “false narrative” which deserves “complete contempt.” He also defended himself by mentioning that Epstein had tried to get him on the island, but he had refused. He accused them for naming him in the document and putting it before Prince Andrew’s, who he admited had visited Epstein’s island.
The articles alleging Musk’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and the responses from Musk have facilitated conversations among X users. While some have defended his name, others have seen Musk’s comments as an effort to do damage control.
