Where to watch the Raiders final if you missed out on tickets

Canberra Stadium may be able to hold 28,000 fans, but an army of thousands more will be cheering on the Green Machine outside the ground on Friday night.

For those who missed out on scoring the hottest ticket in town, there's still plenty of places across Canberra where you can watch the game.

Pubs and clubs across the city will be throwing open their doors to punters hoping to see the Raiders reach their first grand final for 25 years.

Mooseheads has already been lit up in green ahead of Friday's historic final, and will be showing the game.

If that wasn't enough, the venue has renamed its Moose Juice cocktail Raiderade, with Chambord, Midori, Malibu and lemonade.

Cheap beer will also be on tap at PJ O'Reillys in Tuggeranong and in Civic, where the game will be put up on the big screen.

If the Raiders are ahead at any point in the game, $5 drinks will be available at Charlie's Corner in Kingston. The offer will be available all night if the Raiders win.

Down on the Kingston Foreshore, The Dock has become festooned in green, as has the nearby Walt and Burley.

If you want to be among the most die hard of supporters, The Raiders Club in Weston and Belconnen is the place to be.

Fiction Club in Civic will move away from being a nightclub and become a supporter venue on Friday, claiming to have the biggest screen in the city and will open its doors to punters from 6pm.

The Lighthouse Pub is also hosting an event to mark the preliminary final.

Uni students not wanting to miss out on the action can see the game at The Well on the University of Canberra campus, which is offering specials throughout the night.

A whole weekend of finals festivities will be held at the Ainslie Football Club, as well as the nearby The Duxton.

Over the border in the Raiders' other spiritual home in Queanbeyan, Hotel Queanbeyan will be getting behind the Green Machine, promising an in-house viking clap if the side make it through to the grand final.

For those who want to watch the game with other fans on the biggest screen of all, Limelight Cinemas in Tuggeranong will be showing the game in theatres.

Tickets are free, but fans are encouraged to reserve their seat.

The preliminary final between the Canberra Raiders and South Sydney Rabbitohs starts at 7.50pm.
