Where Bristol and UWE rank in the Sunday Times universities guide 2020

The University of Bristol is the third-best university in the South West, according to a respected guide.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 will be published on Sunday (September 22).

It states that the top institution in the South West is the University of Bath, followed by Exeter in second place.

Bristol, which comes third, boasts a national rank of 15, up four places on last year.

In the 2019 National Student Survey, 78.7 per cent gave enthusiastic feedback on teaching quality, while 77.2 per cent did so for 'student experience'.

A total of 95.8 per cent of students completed their course, with 80.6 per cent later found to be in professional jobs or graduate-level study.

The University of the West of England (UWE) ranks fifth in the South West - one place behind the Arts University Bournemouth - and 58th in the UK.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 aims to provide students and parents with an invaluable first reference point on the path to finding a university place. It contains full profiles of all universities.

A searchable website will be published on Sunday for Times and Sunday Times subscribers at thesundaytimes.co.uk/gooduniversityguide
