Where are the Married at First Sight UK couples now and did they stay together at the end of season 6?

Married at First Sight Australia is here and two episodes in, we've watched all the newlyweds tie the knot. The wedding days have ultimately been a mixed bag.

The chemistry between Turkish Selin and old-romantic Anthony was obvious from the get go, and the pair hit it off right away.

Their ease wasn't matched by business woman Tamara and Brent, who got off to the wrong foot for Tamara's “snobbish, entitled” views on retail workers and judging Brent when she thought he worked in a bar. They bickered throughout their wedding reception, with Brent soon calling Tamara a “psychopath” but they seemed to enjoy it, with Brent later admitting that he liked how strong willed she was.

Next up was divorced Domenica and Jackson, who shared some laughs and felt the chemistry from the moment they locked eyes at the altar.

Next to tie the knot was Mitch and Ella. Mitch, who was very vocal about how sceptical he was, was blown away by Ella's beauty while Ella felt he ticked a lot of her boxes. They were soon sharing a steamy kiss, so sexual attraction definetly wont be a problem for them.

While we all hedge our bets on who will go the distance Down Under, what about the couples from previous seasons? Where are they now? Married at First Sight doesn't have the best track record for couple retention, but they have had some lovely success stories. We caught up with the couple from Married at First Sight UK Series 6 to find out.

Nikita and Ant

Nikita and Ant brought some explosive scenes to the show. They were one of the first couples to tie the knot on series six, but things went south really quickly.

Nikita was upfront about not finding Ant attractive, but the pair still tried to put that behind them. The dream fell apart at the first dinner party when Nikita lost her cool and was removed from the show for "unacceptable aggression" off camera.

No viewers were surprised when we learned that Nikita was no longer seeing Ant. The influencer has been trying her luck in love yet again since the show as she's just finished filming for Celebs Go Dating.

Ant re-entered the process with Alexis, who had originally been in a failed match with Jordon, but that didn't last either. The little love square just proved too complicated. Sparks flew between them at the first dinner party, so the pair asked to re-enter as a couple, but it just never really worked out as Ant later admitted he didn't fancy her in that way. Ouch.

Megan and Bob

Despite Megan admitting she wasn't attracted to Bob, they stuck it out before leaving ahead of the home stays.

The 26-year-old business protection specialist Bob had a nightmare on screen when he found out that Megan had kissed his friend Jordon. The pair decided to call it quits, and Bob soon found someone new after the show ended.

Morag and Luke

Morag and Luke weren't initially attracted to each other, with Morag admitting that Luke isn't her usual type and she hated his clothes. He tried to win her favour by dressing as a fireman, but the cracks started to show when he told Morag he loved her and she didn't feel the same.

They stayed together through to the final vows, even with Morag admitting she might entertain a man who's her type, while her friends did not take to Luke on the home stays.

Morag ended the show telling Luke she came on the show to find a "ready-made man" not a project. Luke, understandably, later said he felt used by the bride and that they had split after the show.

Dan and Matt

Dan and Matt fell for each other from the get-go and grew from there, solidifying them as one of the viewers favourite couples. They weren't just a breakthrough for LGBTQI inclusion on the show, but a genuine good match. The speed bumps came with the pair trying to decide where to live, with Dan being in Ireland, and Matt in Leeds.

This didn't stop them being one of the only couples to say “I love you”, and stay united during the usually explosive dinner parties.

The pair ended the show together and the distance didn't keep them apart afterwards either. They are still very much together, travelling between their hometowns and posting super cute photos together on Instagram.

Marilyse and Franky

Marilyse and Franky had a bit of a rocky journey, with the matchmakers and other couples feelings that Franky could be "controlling" and Marilyse didn't open up. Nevertheless the pair stayed together, with Franky considering moving back from Dubai to the UK to be with his wife and her two sons.

They stayed together at the final vows, and for a while afterwards - but the fitness coaches ultimately went their separate ways.

Franky and Marilyse reunited in December for a catch up date. Franky posted a pic to Instagram, saying it was “Really nice to see Maz is doing so well after her surgery”, as she had undergone a major operation as part of a kidney sharing scheme.

Amy and Josh

Amy and Josh are no longer together. The pair started off well despite their age gap (Amy, at 34 was almost ten years older than 26-year-old Josh), with some obvious attraction between to the two.

The relationship started falling apart when Amy felt Josh wasn't being open, and Josh called Amy needy. They stayed together, though, until the end of the show with Josh even saying he might be falling for Amy.

By the time the reunion rolled around, it was all over. According to Amy, they didn’t see each other for 10 days after the experiment which caused the relationship to end.

Tayah and Adam

Tayah and Adam clicked instantly. They were the first to drop the L-bomb with each other, on their honeymoon. They even decided they would be moving into Adam's Doncaster home and buying a puppy.

Hi final speech pulled at the heart strings as he told Tayah there was 'something missing'.... But that 'something' was a legally binding marriage. In December, the pair announced baby plans, and recently spent Valentine's together, where Tayah shared a snap calling Adam her 'forever Valentine'. Tissue, anyone?
