First off, what actually is Taylor’s Version?
Taylor’s Version of past albums are re-records of her older albums, since she’s lost the master versions to Big Machine Records. If you’re wondering how she can do that, let me explain.
When Taylor first signed her major record deal with BMR, her lawyers negotiated publishing rights on her behalf. This means that Big Machine Records own it alllll, and they’re not backing down.
Even though Big Machine Records won’t sell her the masters (unless she signs another deal with them, that is), she still has every right to re-record. Thus, Taylor’s Version was born!

How many Taylor’s Versions has Taylor Swift recorded?
Okay, now try saying that three times.
Taylor Swift has re-recorded four albums of the six that were recorded under Big Machine Records. She released the first two in 2021, with “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” coming out on April 9, and “Red (Taylor’s Version)” on November 12.
Fans then had to wait two years for the next two albums in 2023 —“Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” on July 7, and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” on October 27. Two (Taylor’s Version) albums are left to record, “Reputation” and “Taylor Swift.”

We don’t have an official Australian release date for “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” yet. Don’t worry, I’m not happy about it either.
Going off the two-year timeline, however, it looks like Swift will drop it very soon. It’ll also mark eight years since “Reputation” was first released in Australia on November 10, 2017.

We were treated to a snippet in season six, episode 9 in The Handmaid’s Tale. “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” played while the main character, June (played by Elisabeth Moss), led a group of handmaids after they pulled off a major coup against Gilead (the evil US government in the show, not to be confused with the real one).
