When Leeds heatwave will end and how hot it will get in July

The UK is set to get hot over the weekend and in to next week with temperatures on the rise nationwide.

Leeds is no exception to this and temperatures tomorrow are expected to reach around 24 degrees. This will increase to 27 degrees by Monday before falling down to 24 degrees on Wednesday.

According to the Met Office, Saturday will experience “long spells of sunshine” while Sunday to Tuesday will also have lots of sun and is “still warm and bright with sunny spells.”

The Met Office has released a weather warning for a heat wave with a Level Three heat alert in place. They have issued some recommendations on what to do to beat the heat, such as covering windows exposed to direct sunlight.

Dr Agostinho Sousa, Head of Extreme Events and Health Protection at UKHSA, said: “We want everyone to enjoy the hot weather when it arrives, but also to check in on their vulnerable family, friends and neighbours to make sure they are prepared for the warm conditions ahead.

“High temperatures are predicted for a prolonged period, so make sure to follow our simple health advice to beat the heat, such as covering windows exposed to direct sunlight and making sure that fridges, freezers and fans are working properly.”

In the longer term, from Wednesday July 13-Friday July 22, temperatures are expected to cool down. Temperatures are expected to warm up again afterwards with the potential for hot weather in the South.

Later on into this period, cooler weather is expected.

On an even longer term forecast, from July 22 to August 9, settled conditions are expected with patches of rain in the North. Temperatures are expected to be higher than normal.
