When is The Open Championship 2019?

Northern Ireland is set to welcome the world's top golfers next month as we play host to 148th The Open Championship.

This year the prestigious tournament is taking place at Royal Portrush Golf Club, Co Antrim.

The Dunluce Links will provide a stern test of golf for the best players in the world. Originally designed by Harry Colt, the course is routed through the rugged links land and constantly changes in both direction and elevation.

When does it start?

The Open makes an historic return to Northern Ireland from 14-21 July.

With a pro-am competition and other events planned in the week of the event, the actual first day of the competition will begin on July 18 and conclude on Sunday, July 21.

Some of the biggest names in golf will descend on the North Coast over the week including Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia, Ricky Fowler, Francesco Molinari and of course our very own Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke to name a few.
