When is the 2022 NFL trade deadline?

The NFL’s in-season trade deadline typically pales in comparison to the fast-paced action in the NBA or MLB. Most years, teams are content to hold fast to their roster builds with half a season still left to be played. It’s pretty rare that any major moves are made in October.

But that trend has been changing lately. 2021 saw former All-Pros Stephon Gilmore and Zach Ertz traded in the run-up to the cut-off date and Von Miller and Melvin Ingram dealt within 24 hours of the deadline. In 2020, veterans like Kwon Alexander, Kiko Alonso, Carlos Dunlap and Yannick Ngakoue were all dealt before the imposed moratorium on trades.

The 2022 trade deadline is November 1 at 4 p.m. ET.
