Download has just confirmed that the festival will take place between Friday 12 - Sunday 14 June, 2020.

Following the usual pattern, campsites should open on Wednesday, 10 June, and close on Monday, 15 June.

How can you buy tickets?

Tickets for the 2020 edition of the festival will go on sale next Monday, 17 June, at 10am.

It is expected that these will be on sale through the festival's official ticket partner, Ticketmaster , and direct through the Download website.

Ticket levels and pricing are yet to be announced.

Keep an eye on Download Festival's social media for details.

Who will be on the line-up?

Download Festival 2019 saw headline performances from Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool.

Fan forums predict headliners could include heavy metal legends Metallica, who have been rumoured for years - but haven't played since 2012.

With a world tour underway this year, a set from band could be more likely once that's wrapped up in 2020.

Acts including Kiss, Korn, Fall Out Boy, Ghost and A Day To Remember are also hotly tipped to play by fans.
