In Liverpool, 17 and 18-year-olds will be finding out whether they have got the A-level results they are hoping for this month.
For the second consecutive year, exams have been scrapped in schools and colleges due to the disruption the Coronavirus pandemic caused to the academic year.
Teachers will be giving their students grades based on a number of factors, including their performances in mock exams, coursework, and class tests.
Results day for A-level students this year is Tuesday, August 10.
Results day this year is two weeks earlier than it would normally be, this is so that students have time to appeal their teacher-given results in time for the beginning of the new university term in September. This move has come about after issues with the grading process last summer.

A large number of people had to have their grades changed last summer after issues with the process caused many people to receive grades lower than they were predicted.
University or further employment awaits for many young adults across Liverpool, with their A-level results playing a big part in whether or not they will be able to move onto their desired field from September.
